Pathways

Pathways
February 13 - April 12, 2026
Opening reception: February 13 | 2-4pm
Pathways brings together a group of abstract works that move in harmonious conversation with one another. Across painting, ceramics, and fiber, the works by Deborah Luken, Joan Lurie, Jane Martin, Amy Genser, and Carol Hunt share a fluid visual language—one in which forms, lines, and gestures seem to echo and overlap. As these works blend and unfold together, the exhibition itself becomes a pathway, guiding viewers through a continuum of movement, process, and perception.
The exhibition traces the journey an artist takes from conception to completion, and the unique path each viewer travels in receiving the work. Within the artworks themselves, pathways emerge through swirling forms, directional lines, and rhythmic movement—offering subtle routes through each composition. Deborah Luken’s paintings use abstraction and movement to navigate complexity, tracing pathways through history, emotion, and lived experience. Joan Lurie’s ceramics reflect an interest in cellular structure and bodily presence, blurring distinctions between object, architecture, and form. Jane Martin’s paintings emerge through an intuitive, meditative process, where layered marks and recurring forms create a quiet tension between structure and flow. Amy Genser creates layered works of paper, incorporating paint, metal, and wood to form organic pathways shaped by accumulation and material transformation. Carol Hunt’s fiber work introduces a tactile, linear pathway along with her paintings/prints, thread material, process, and form through the exhibition as a whole.
Pathways will be on view through April 12.
