WACH Travels: Spain

We are delighted to invite you to join the Women’s Art Center of the Hamptons (WACH) for an unforgettable cultural tour in Spain from May 5 to May 14, 2025.
This immersive 9-day journey offers a unique opportunity to experience the vibrant art scene, historic landmarks, and culinary treasures of Spain. You’ll visit majestic palaces, a medieval monastery, private artists' studios, and stunning gardens. We will explore the rich history and culture of several cities, including Madrid, Córdoba, and Granada, with visits that showcase the essence of Spanish heritage, such as textiles, winemaking, glassmaking, and ceramics. The tour also includes exploration of the most fascinating collections of Spain’s leading museums. Spain’s landscape is as diverse as the country itself and we will savor the beautiful backdrop of our tour that includes magnificent mountainsides, pristine seashores and a countryside filled with centuries-old spaces, some of which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. What trip to Spain would be complete without a flamenco performance? We will see and do it all!
Our hotel accommodations have been carefully chosen for their charm, comfort, and central locations, allowing you to fully experience the beauty and culture of Spain. You’ll also enjoy extraordinary dining experiences where you will savor the diverse flavors of Spanish cuisine.
The trip will be co-led by Wendy Van Deusen, curator, artist, chef, and Director of WACH. With extensive experience touring the art capitals of Europe and beyond, Wendy’s deep appreciation for art, design, and cuisine will enrich your experience. Wendy has previously led cultural tours across the continent, and her passion for uncovering hidden gems will provide you with behind-the-scenes access to some of Spain's most remarkable artistic and cultural sites.
Our second tour leader, Matko Tomicic, will bring Spain’s history and culture to life in unexpected ways. With a vast knowledge of European art and culture, Matko’s engaging storytelling and enthusiasm for exploration will reveal Spain’s well-known treasures and hidden corners alike, creating an unforgettable experience.
Please note that space is limited for this exclusive cultural tour, and there has already been considerable interest among WACH’s members and friends. We encourage you to secure your spot by requesting the WACH itinerary and registration form by emailing us at info@wachamptonsny.org
We hope you can join us for this exceptional cultural adventure in Spain. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
