WACH Travels: The S(e)oul of South Korea Highlights
The S(e)oul of South Korea
A Cultural Exploration of Korea's Creative Spirit
October 12-23, 2025
Our journey to South Korea was a complete immersion into the art and culture of this jewel of the Far East. It was filled with thoroughly modern cities, breathtaking countrysides, and historic sites that still stand to tell the stories of ancient times. Our tour began in Seoul, a bustling city with a dazzling array of art, design, and cuisine that delighted all our senses from morning to night.
While in Seoul, we explored design centers, artist studios and green spaces nestled next to the Han River. We learned about the history and culture of Korea through visits to Jongmyo Shrine, Jeongjeon Hall, Kansong Art Museum, Leeum Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of Craft.
From there we ventured to other points of interest including Gumbae, Busan, and Incheon. A private visit to the home and studios of renowned ceramicist Shin Sang-ho was an unforgettable experience that filled us with a large dose of inspiration and a heightened sense of creativity.
We are grateful to the artists, guides, and the people of South Korea who made our trip a memorable one!
