Infinite Woman II

Infinite Woman II
August 7 - September 14, 2025
Opening reception: Thursday, August 7 | 5-7pm

Infinite Woman II continues the celebration of the enduring spirit of women artists throughout time—those who, by making their art, confronted opposition, marginalization, and persistent challenges to their right to self-expression. Even today, women’s art accounts for only 11–13% of works in major museum collections. “It is important to recognize and celebrate women’s art and provide a platform so that their work can receive the attention and recognition it deserves,” says WACH director Wendy Van Deusen.

This group show features the work of five artists: Siba Agbeyegbe, Sylvia Baruch, Marilyn Church, Jeannie Friedman, and Setha Low. Each brings a distinct voice and perspective to the exhibition—from intimate explorations of the body and memory to studies of place, ritual, and gesture. Their work spans media and approach, but together, their contributions form a rich and layered conversation about identity, resilience, and the infinite ways women see and shape the world.
