Linda Miller

"I started out as a painter.  And then at one point, I found myself incredibly captivated by the expressive possibilities of working with paper.  The transition led me to explore three- dimensional sculpture using just paper and water.  I studied paper making at the Dieu Donne School and enthusiastically experimented in pushing the limits of paper sculpture. I became proficient with the potential of this dynamic medium.

The expressive possibilities of paper, its tactile nature and flexibility to be molded and shaped is a driving force and every day is devoted to the quest of reinterpreting humble household objects...vessels, bowls, totems, tables and organic abstract forms.  I am guided by the traditional Japanese aesthetic philosophy Wabi Sabi that finds beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and simplicity."
