Sonya Clark: We are Each Other is an examination of the artist's large scale projects centered on community collaboration and participation that span over thirty years of her artistic practice. Highlighting Black life and experience, cloth (as well as other materials and objects) takes on new and deeper levels of connection, communication and understanding. We will enjoy a private tour of We Are Each Other with a MAD curator and resident expert on Ms. Clark and the exhibition.  This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to broaden your knowledge of textiles through the lens of art, history, and social constructs.
